I had chosen this course as I wanted to expand my knowledge in the medical field for the care of others and to address the health problems that the patient had diagnosed with. I may not have particular experience in the field of specialities; although I have express an interest in areas such as psychiatry, paediatrics and pathology. Mainly I am more interested in psychiatry as from my past experiences I had suffered from severe mental health issues and I was admitted in psychiatric hospital. From my stay there, my desire to support people with mental health issues had slowly stemmed as I had witnessed how the massive amount of support able to set the patient on the path of recovery.

I do acknowledge that becoming a doctor will require many sacrifices. Despite that, I could see that the path of medicine is also a fascinating and rewarding career as highlighted by the doctors I have spoken to. This strengthened my resolve and my passion to be a doctor. Most importantly, I know I have the determination, enthusiasm, capacity for hard work, enquiring and open-mind needed to succeed in such a fulfilling position to develop my knowledge of the medical field to aid
