During my senior year at North Miami Beach Senior High School, I contemplated on where I would transfer to start my collegiate studies. I considered many different universities and colleges, weighing out the positives and negatives in attending each of them. However, there was one that remained as the most impressionable college: The Honors College of Miami Dade College. My older brother had joined the Honors College and continually remarked on how they changed his life and helped him grow both mentally and financially. He began speaking to me about the Honors College when I was a freshman in high school, and I worked tirelessly to be considered acceptance into this rigorous program.
