This organization was chosen by me because I am very interest on it, and hopefully in the future I can have an interaction with this organization so I can learn more and get better on my studies.
The American College of Sports Medicine was founded in 1954 by a group of physicians and physical educators, and they found to show that life choices, like smoke and sedentary lifestyle, were associated with health problems. “The principal purpose of the College is the generation and dissemination of knowledge concerning all aspects of persons engaged in exercise with full respect for the dignity of people”.
ACSM offers activities like conferences and meetings for those who have interest in sport medicine, from people who wants to continue education
