Statement Of Purpose: Pharmacy Practice Residency

After careful thought and consideration, I am writing this letter to convey my desire in applying for a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Rocking Residency. Since the commencement of my undergraduate work I have dedicated myself to secure an education that would allow me to excel in a career of my choosing, which is that of a clinical pharmacist.
This desire to excel academically and clinically has driven me through my graduate career at Texas Tech Health Science
Center School of Pharmacy and ultimately led to my decision to apply for a postgraduate year one residency program at
Baylor Dallas.
I am writing to express my interest in applying for the Rocking Residency PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency. This program has been recommended to me

Short term, I am seeking the prospect of gaining practical experience in a diverse environment where pharmacy is recognized as a fundamental aspect of the health care team. Additionally, I am searching for an opportunity to teach both pharmacy students and other medical professionals, while sharpening both my communication and presentation skills. Long term, after completion of my pharmacy education and a pharmacy practice residency, I plan to complete a specialty residency in internal medicine/critical care ultimately becoming a board certified pharmacy specialist. Through these efforts, I hope to serve as a leader in the profession, and also gain experience in the research and publication process with the ability to independently develop and implement practical outcomes study.
Throughout my academic career I have long had a desire to incorporate education into my life. This desire has manifested not only in the education of students and patients, but also in my own personal growth.
