I feel that those two areas are where I can make the most difference in my patient’s lives. I have excellent intrapersonal skills, dedication, and can work well with a variety of challenges and people. I have attended numerous leadership trainings and have been a teen or adult leader for summer camp for fifth and sixth graders for more than seven years. These experiences have taught me responsibility as well as dedication and organization.
I am currently studying Health Science with a concentration in occupational therapy. Through these courses I have gained a better understanding of both the physiological and psychological of the human body that will help me to understand, prevent, and treat disabilities.
In the end however, what will help me reach these goals the most is my love for helping people. I truly want to make a difference in people’s lives, and I feel that becoming an occupational therapist is how I was meant to do that. From a young age I have known what I wanted to do and have worked hard to get there ever since.
