Improved Essays
The Northeastern High School Motto, “Achievement, Respect, Leadership, and Opportunity,” is similar to the ethics I live my life by. All of these aspects are important qualities in anyone who strives to be an effective leader. If chosen to be a student senate member, I promise to demonstrate these aspects and more.

I believe in pushing myself to achieve the maximum both academically and athletically. Throughout my middle school career, I have discovered that in order to achieve success you must focus and apply yourself in all you do. With that in mind, I have been able to achieve high A’s in all my classes which has opened the door to numerous opportunities. During my eighth grade year, I was one of two students in the middle school selected to participate in the York County Student Forum. The forum brings together middle school students from around the county to discuss issues within schools and provide solutions to them. The experience allowed me to bring back several ideas that would benefit my school community. Athletically, my focus and determination was recognized by my coaches, and they appointed me captain of the field hockey team. The knowledge gained from these experiences will allow me to bring a fresh perspective to the High School Student Senate.

If everyone in Student Senate would apply this principle, you would have a more productive and positive
