Southern Methodist University’s mission statement expresses the values I admire and seek in a University such as, “promoting an environment emphasizing individual dignity and worth”. Being a student that struggled in school early on, I knew re-building my-self-worth would be crucial for success in college. Following my enrolment at Tarrant County College, I have joined the Cornerstone honors program offered at the campus and elected officer of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. These two organizations have served as complimentary forces that have enriched me with leadership, fellowship and intellectual skills I will contribute to my community. I view Southern Methodist University as a local gem.…

Middle school can be an odd and rough time for kids, as they change from being sheltered youth to responsible young adults. I failed miserably at handling that transition. The classes taught in middle school were supposed to be easy, especially now that I look in retrospect. Yet, I regularly brought home B’s and low A’s, at best, on my report card. I had barely challenged myself in middle school, if at all.…

I started attending Lone star college right after high school, at first, I began with the typical high school graduate state of mind, which was that college was going to be a breeze and that it would all be fun and games; more worried about what was going on in my social life rather than studying the books. Especially since I had no real responsibilities to handle or much life experience. Around my first year of college, I started dating this girl and not long after we conceived our first son. Once this happened, my focus slowly shifted from school to working a full-time job at a welding shop in order to provide for my family. I still tried to attend class but was unable to find the balance between work, school and family and this reflected my grades.…

My passion for K-State will make my college career so much more fun, and also filled with many more activities than high school. I hope to be involved in marching band, I also want to have a job on campus, and help my fellow students, and I also want to go to a lot of KSU sporting events with my friends. I think the fact that I care about more than just academics will reduce my stress level too, and make me generally happier too. I hope that the more accepting college atmosphere will improve my happiness, and make me a better friend, and then I will have more energy to make those around me happier. I hope that me and my roommate, will be able to both be passionate enough about college to encourage each other to do our best, so we can both do…

If I could combine astounding qualities of every college I know,I would create Swarthmore .With its small and cosy size,I would be a part of my intellectual family and with every article and fun fact I’ve read about Swarthmore, I became more and more interested in it. True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…

As children we’re asked what we want to be when we grow up and we reply, President, Doctor, or Astronaut, my long chosen occupation is to be an Animal behaviorist. They study the way animals behave and they try and figure out how, and why they behave the way they do. It’s a very well chosen occupation if you love working with animals. After comparing the Ohio State University, Auburn University, and Texas A&M University, based on hours required to graduate, tuition costs, and required classes needed, Auburn University would best suite me to set out and become an Animal behaviorist. Auburn University is the best choice because the hours required are reasonable and, tuition cost is much lower than my other school choices.…

Back to School: Why Colorado Christian University at Age 59? In order to answer the above question I must start from the beginning. It’s similar to that old axiom, "Look back to where you have been, for a clue to where you are going. I remember how my life changed when I was nearly eight years of age.…
