National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes students that have excelled in scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Being a part of National Honor Society is very important to me because it will further strengthen my qualities of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. I also believe National Honor Society will prepare me for college, and live my most productive life. One of the four main pillars of National Honor Society is scholarship. Throughout high school, I have strived to get good grades.…
I am overjoyed too have had the pleasure to meet you. Thank you for taking the time to come speak to us here at Cathedral about Macauly Honors College. There is so much Macauly has to offer to their students. Your presentation of Macauly made me want to research more about the school. I am especially interested in the study abroad program that you offer.…
I am honored to be among the top students with an opportunity to be involved in National Junior Honor Society. I believe that I represent all the qualities needed in all aspects, and if accepted I will do everything I can to ensure that I continue to demonstrate these traits. Honor Society provides a wonderful opportunity to help and serve others, and if accepted, I look forward to that chance. I believe that the values of service, leadership, citizenship, and character are all important for a person to be able to be sufficient and perform well in all different areas.…
As a student of Saint David Catholic School it’s a huge honor to have the National Junior Honor Society invite me to join them as an inductee. I would love to be a member of this society because all of my life I have lived by the standard of “success comes before work only in the dictionary.” The goals that I have set for myself can only be achieved by hard work and I feel that being a member of NJHS will really help me reach my goal. As a leader I hope to be able to use my power to aid in the uplifting of others.…
I am honored to be among the students who are being considered for the national honor society. I have been looking forward to this opportunity since middle school. I believe that this organization does amazing things in school and in the community, and being able to be a part of that would be a privilege. I like to think that I deserve this honor and chance because I have given my all to make it this far. The National Honor society is known for acknowledging students who are active not only in school but the community as well.…
I want to be a member of the National Honor Society because it is an excellent program with no “bad side”. NHS is a great way to give back to the community, it looks good on college applications and scholarships, it allows me to be a leader, and it is just what the name implies- an honor. Along with all the good it does, it is not too much of a commitment. I am a teenager in high school and have a busy life- adding another extracurricular activity to my plate can become overwhelming. However, NHS would allow me to help my community and future without forcing me to give up the life I have- I can get service hours doing what I enjoy and learn more about myself by trying new things.…
1. Recently, I have been involved in several activities that exemplify leadership. These include renovating the art display case in the vocational building to represent our school’s eagle creed, attending lessons every weekend which indoctrinate leadership skills for students, and joining several extracurricular activities within the school. The most prominent one, however, would be entering high school and seamlessly maintaining and even bettering my grades while in Honors classes.…
I really love history and social issues. I like this subject so much because it’s relevant to what is happening now in our country and around the world. I don’t know yet if I want to major in these topics, but they are something I'm interested in. I have always loved school even though I have struggled in school. I’m learning to persevere.…
When I go college, I do not want to give up my favorite activities, but rather, build upon established interests and create new ones. Honestly, I do not know all of the activities in which I may participate while attending university. This is not because I do not know what I like; I just that I have not been exposed to these things yet. Although my personality is not fully molded, I actively search for novel and fulfilling experiences relating to music, food, and travel.…
You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one." A quote from Henry David Thoreau. The pillars of the National Honor Society. Character, Scholarship, leadership, and Service, all have one thing in common. That one thing is me.…
The National Honor Society serves as a symbol of excellence to the student body of South Effingham High School. As a hard-working, goal-oriented individual, I feel that being a member of the National Honor Society would greatly benefit my character and scholastic abilities. After graduating from high school, I plan to attend the University of Georgia, and later Emory University to attain a degree in orthopedic surgery. I would then like to establish my own practice. As an orthopedic surgeon, I will work with the utmost care to help those who need my expertise.…
I am interested in membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. because I want to carry on the legacy started by the founders. My role models are well respected members of the community and their positive impact on me is why I use my talents for good. Once I did my research, I genuinely felt this was the sorority for me.…
Growing up on a little island has both it’s pros and cons. In terms of benefits, being raised in a tight community has shaped by personality around companionship, leadership, and different cultures. The only con I would consider is the attachment i’ve grown to my comfort zone. I want to break free of my norm and discover new opportunities, and I feel like Marist is the perfect place to do so. For one, the community at Marist first captured my attention.…
My Goals and Walden University Mission Introduction After surviving nursing school to obtain my nursing degree, going back to school had taken a back seat on my list of goals. However, after working in the nursing field for the past two years, I have realized the importance and benefits of an advanced degree. My goal of attending graduate school is to prepare a career as a Nurse Administrator. While looking for a school to obtain my MSN, a co-worker informed me about Walden University.…
I believe that being involved in all of these things were enormously important in my high school career, but being in tennis has by far helped me the most. Being a captain for my tennis team has felt like it encompassed all of the other activities I have been a part of. It has given me a chance to lead, challenge myself, and help others. Though I do feel that the other activities are important tennis trumps them by leaps and…
