Statement Of Purpose For NHS

Decent Essays
I think I should be a part of NHS because I am a well-rounded person who is seeking to do well in her future. I recognize that I do not have any leadership experience, for I have not been presented with an opportunity to lead.I have helped lead younger kids at girl scout camp in years past although beyond that my leadership roles are somewhat lacking. I hope to expand on this quality by being a part of NHS. I play three sports a year and maintain an acceptable GPA. I was a lifeguard at Prairie Village pool over the summer. I plan to work there again next summer. I want to be in NHS to expand my horizons on my options in the future. I hope to attend an engineering school right after high school and i believe NHS will help me achieve this goal.

The National Honors Society defines what it means to serve the student body as well as the community. As a student athlete in the Sutton school system leadership, service, character and scholarship have impacted my very way of life. Having a persistent attitude is what makes a student shine and as a prospective candidate for NHS I will incorporate this quality into each of the four pillars improving the society as a whole. Three years ago I began the NHS application process though I had little experience in volunteering for the community and lacked the opportunity to develop myself as a leader this changed as my high school career went on. Through athletics and long hours of volunteering with the town's technology department has provided me with numerous opportunities as high school went on.…
