Statement Of Purpose For Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer’s, COPD (chronic obstruction pulmonary disorder), diabetes, and heart disease are all common disease among most of the American population. A problem I have is that all of these diseases run in my family. All of my great-uncles passed away from Alzheimer’s disease. My father passed away from heart disease and diabetes. My brother currently suffers from a congenital heart defect that he regulates with medication. My mother suffers from COPD and is trying to manage it with new medication. After I get my career established as a Maternal/Fetal surgeon, I want to create the Sterling Family Medical Research Foundation that will specialize in the study and research for many diseases but primarily on Alzheimer’s, COPD, diabetes, and heart disease. …show more content…
After I have established my career, I plan to establish my own medical foundation. I plan to recruit some of the best medical researchers across the country and around the world to work non-stop to find the cure for those diseases that affect my family, as well as millions of others. The foundation will be state-of-the art and will have the most technologically advanced methods of healthcare to help you fight any disease. Since everybody is different, the foundation plans to find a cure that can be genetically mapped to the cellular level of each disease to give you the best outcome
