Statement Of Purpose: FFA

Decent Essays
FFA has been a big impact in my life since 9th grade. I began in Dekaney and continued to be a part of it in Wunsche. FFA has meant a lot to me because of all the things it has taught me to be a better person. I currently am a FFA officer Historian and without this wonderful position I wouldn't be able to have the leadership and communication skills I have now. Being a part of this chapter has opened new doors for me and allowed me to talk to new people that has helped me for my future career. I have gained experience with all types of animals. From cattle to swine, to rabbits and goats. I enjoy getting to meet new students and working with them to make our chapter better. I love educatig the litle kids, for example, when we go tour guiding, we must show them around the rodeo and give them different facts about all the animals. …show more content…
I love being a role model and being able to help others in their need. Ever since Ijoined FFA I have been able to do things I never thought I will be able to do. I have gone out of town to compete in horse judging and Veterinary technician with my team. I have learned all about animal organs, parasites, and breeds. I have also competed in LDE which is Leadership development events. This helped with my communication skills and be able to explain to everyone the importance of FFA and what FFA is. This means a lot because I want everyone to know what it is. Some people believe it is about farmers and raising animals, but it isn't just about that. We do way more things and it's important to spread awareness and for people to keep joining

As I reflect on my personal life I value life itself to the point I live each day not knowing what to expect the next day. Positivity is a major factor in all that I do to the point of trying to view all things in a positive way and leaving the negativity out the door. As a mother, partner, educator, and entrepreneur I strive to be mindful, spiritual, and conscious of all my actions. I value these things because this is what makes up my life and what I live for each day. My life is a fourth generation person and I relate because I “want to live, love, learn, and leave it like a seed with balance and joy" (Covey, 73) the quality of my life is more important than planning it out.…
