As an undergraduate at DePauw University, I have worked hard to earn the grades and experiences necessary for me to go to graduate school. Despite the large sum of student loan debt I have collected in compensation for my education. No one in my family has attended a four-year institution, making me a first generation college student and subsequently the trial run for the family. I went to college with no savings and the understanding that I would be taking the financial burden.
I love learning and I have a passion for geology, I declared the major as a first year. I have pushed myself to take as many courses, and winter term and summer experiences as possible to enhance my geologic knowledge. My efforts have motivated me to achieve the grades
