Statement Of Purpose: Akdphi

One organization at MSU that I am proud to be part of is alpha Kappa Delta Phi or “aKDPhi”. It is an Asian-interest sorority which I consider it as my family. Before coming to college, I never expected myself to be affiliated with any greek organization. The greek system have not gained my interest before, but once I decided to rush and went to their informational I was 100% convinced to join. Why I joined? I part-take because rushing for aKDPhi was a blast. I love the sisterhood they have, before coming to MSU I was afraid of being homesick and feel lonely. Now I that I am in this sorority, there is another family who support and take care of me like my parents. The best part about this sorority is having a vast network of supportive sisters nationwide, wherever I go I can meet up with anything sisters without knowing them. This semester I became rush chair, which was a vicarious position to hold as a sister who just crossed into the sorority. Fundraising chair was another position I am holding, which is not an easy job at all. They really given me a chance to push my boundaries and work under pressure that I was never used to. Now that I have leadership position, I realized I have capabilities of a leader. My positions as an aKDPhi active sister made me assured myself that I am a leader after all. Not only that, but I am inspired to grow myself to become an independent women. My sisters are my motivation, one day I want to be able to leave a legacy and encourage other girls to become a leader like how my sister did to me. Looking back at my collage, it mainly involved with aKDPhi because it shows how much substantial it is to my life.
