Statement Of Purpose: A. E. Burdick And My Career Goals

Decent Essays
In ten years I see myself meeting a goal of owning and managing a kid friendly bar, and while I get my second college degree. Choosing and completing this goal is important to me because I prefer it when kids can do more activities with their care takers instead of with a random babysitter or daycare. It is also important for me to get a second degree in a different profession so if that goal goes under I can set a new career goal without the trouble of going through a college course when I’m in need of resources that jobs have like insurance and money. This job also provides a sense of humanity by bringing families together while enjoying refreshments and kiddy cocktails. The relationship that my school now, A.E. Burdick, and my goal

In order to explain the reason of why I want to attend the Musicians Institute’s Bachelor Program, I would need explain a bit about myself first. You see, when I was young, I've never really had friends or anyone to really talk to, and because of this, I spent most of my childhood alone. Due to the position I was at, I tried to fill in the missing void by wandering inside my imagination, so naturally for most of my time I would be day dreaming. One day I was driving with my parents to school and a certain song came on, and while that song was playing, my imagination went out of control involuntary to the music and started to create a story based off of the song I was listening to, not only that, it also made me feel some type of emotion, if I recall correctly, the emotion that I felt was, happiness. After that moment, I began hearing more songs from a variety of different bands and artists, and the more songs that I began to hear and like, the more my imagination…

On Wednesday, September 21st, the junior and senior class of my school went to Franklinton High School—where we were introduced to post-secondary institutions such as state universities and local community colleges. I admittedly already had a fair idea of what I planned on doing after school. My “carefully thought-out plan” was this: I would go to Northshore Technical Community College in the summer to get my CNA so that I can gain the patient-care experience necessary for my later plans for college. I would then attend LSU for four years and earn a bachelor’s in dietetics, and possibly minor in psychology. Afterward, I would attend a PA school somewhere within the US—possibly the one at LSU.…

I’ll never forget the moments of watching all my friends being able to go to the playground and enjoy themselves as I would have to walk to a different classroom to my ESOL class. ESOL was an English practicing class, it allowed for students that knew very few English and was a method for us to learn and practice our English. Towards the end of the class as we all headed back from recess, or in my case from ESOL I would have a short time to speak and talk to my friends, and they would always ask about my whereabouts. I would try to explain to them exactly where I was and what I would be doing, and I knew that they did not fully comprehend me, yet I still tried. I would attend my ESOL class all throughout the third grade, by the beginning of…

As I reflect on my personal life I value life itself to the point I live each day not knowing what to expect the next day. Positivity is a major factor in all that I do to the point of trying to view all things in a positive way and leaving the negativity out the door. As a mother, partner, educator, and entrepreneur I strive to be mindful, spiritual, and conscious of all my actions. I value these things because this is what makes up my life and what I live for each day. My life is a fourth generation person and I relate because I “want to live, love, learn, and leave it like a seed with balance and joy" (Covey, 73) the quality of my life is more important than planning it out.…
