Statement Of Purpose: A Career As A Peer Assistant

As you know class sign ups will be in a few weeks. I hope this year you will consider becoming a peer assistant. Peer assistant's help with the asl (academic life skills) program, which is a program for students with moderate to severe disabilities that graduate high school with a certificate of completion. As a peer assistant you work in classrooms assisting students with academic and social skills. You will also get the incredible opportunity to advocate for students with disabilities. Lastly, you will learn about the role of a teacher, which it a career path I know you're interesting in. The best part of being a peer assistant is the amazing feeling of making a difference in someone's education and helping a student further their education.
