I have always been fascinated by beauty and aesthetics in my immediate environment since childhood. I could remember vividly when I used to build caves and mountains with molded clays and cut woods and then have them decorated with flowers leaving my fellow teenagers and even adults perplexed by the beauty and aesthetic view of my works. As a teenager, I had several times, competed in a local aesthetics competition in which I always took the first position. Most times, we discuss issues on politics, entertainment industry, foreign news and sometimes play music while having our hands on the jobs. In other words, we always involve recreational activities into the works on site to save us any monotony and boredom that may come with the job. Our best shots on all jobs have been noticeably commendable since we introduced this style and pattern to work on sites. The relationship between various forms of nature-based tourism, outdoor recreation and the environment in which these activities take place comes into play. Also, the need to ascertain how these activities interact with the social and physical world is part of the reason for this study. The economy of a developing country as mine-Nigeria is dependent on oil; therefore there is need for the diversification of the economy. Many natural resources which abound can be harnessed and tapped into which will contribute to her GDP and also create employment. I wish to return to my country as soon as I have completed my program to tap into the Tourism and Recreational sector of the economy. The research will expose me to a more advanced way of environmental policy formulation as I will be tutored under great and experienced scholars.
