Starry Night By Van Gogh

Improved Essays
The final and last picture I will analyze is of the Starry Night by Van Gogh painting on slide number one. And I chose this picture because it clearly shows a night sky with plenty of stars shining brightly. “Come when the nights are bright with stars” describes evenings where the the streets are lit and the stars are luminous. The man is saying to his women that she can come at night if she wants too. They can have a late night talk along with dinner. And the picture is a painting of a street in the night time where the street light are lit and the stars are glowing.

In this essay I will discuss the ways that Vincent Van Gogh’s, The Night Cafe, 1888 was used as influence for Ernest Ludwig Kirchner’s, Street, Dresden, 1908. To prove my point I will provide visual analyzations of the pieces, some background to the artists and the art movements they were associated with, and events that happened around the time the paintings were created that affected many artists and the work they created. Vincent Van Gogh’s painting, Night Cafe, depicts a scene a cafe with four empty tables as well as three with people seated at them. There is a green pool table at the center of the room that casts a large orange shadow onto the yellow floor. There is a man with neon green hair in a yellow suit standing to the right of…

He painted this based on his perception of how he saw Paris at night. This painting shows the “sensation of the speed of the motorcar” in the street, as well as the “fascination of the city at night.” This painting relates more closely to the “real” physical world than Tanguy’s imagination, more so than his Figure 3. Yves Tanguy, Rue de la Santé. 1925. Oil on canvas, 50.2 x 61.1 cm.…

The artwork I chose to imagine is Van Gogh’s famous oil painting called Starry Night. It was painted in June of 1889 and has grown to be known as one of his most famous paintings. Van Gogh was a post-impressionist and painted Starry Night from memory in his apartment. The view is of a village from a window in an asylum. I chose this painting because it has always been hanging in my Aunt’s living room.…

The stars in the painting are another way to ease the audience. Stars are a simple thing that people look at to think of family members that have passed or of happy experiences they once lived. Perhaps Rockman placed the stars in the painting to remind himself of the stars he saw while in Guyana or to convey the feeling he felt while being in the rainforest. Nature has long time been a calming place for many people and can act as a way to forget everyday problems. The nature in this painting relaxes the audience into a calming state and gives off a serene…

Melody of the night by Leonid Afremov https://afremov.com/image.php?type=P&id=19095 When I look at the painting, it makes me feel happy and amazed with the variety of colors he has used. It shows a couple walking in the night with their dog. It’s not only a normal walk rushing to a place but a short walk in the evening somewhere in the park close by just to turn off from the world and spend quality time with the spouse/partner. Without friends or children. Mainly during the night, these places are very quiet and not many peoples around which make it more interesting to enjoy the company of each other.…
