Unless you are the main victim of being bullied you don't really know how schools handle it. Every school probably has their own specific process but the start seems to be the same for most. The victim tells a teacher, parent, guidance counselor, and/or trusted adult and they alert the school. From there multiple things could happen next. I want to learn what that process is because if you know what needs to be done to help a victim of bullying, you could be the person that makes sure the victim gets the help he or she needs.
I would give the book Stargirl an 8. I give the book an 8 on a scale of 1-10. The book teaches good messages about staying true to yourself. These messages are shown throughout the book because Stargirl's identity gets challenged and eventually gets strengthened. Stargirl changes who she was but is miserable in the process. This shows that you need to stay true to yourself because in the long run it will be worth it. When Stargirl realizes she's miserable, she goes back to being herself. This shows that being yourself is more important that being popular or being "accepted" by everyone
