In the novel, Stargirl, many of the main characters struggled with conformity. Leo the narrator of the novel, Stargirl, continually tried to get stargirl to conform with the rest of the students, showing a struggle with conformity, “We went into pisa pizza, we shared a pepperoni pizza with anchovies, how can you eat them? Nobody likes anchovies, she took them off and put them in her water glass.” Midway through the novel Stargirl begins to change and really gives in to conformity. Stargirl is new to to her high school mica high and she really making a bad impression to some people at first, but Stargirl meets leo and is willing to change for her and this causes conformity. Stargirls feelings for Leo leads to the idea of Don’t let people change
