Keurig Starbucks Marketing Plan

In order for a company to successfully market to a group of people, the company must know the demographic, economics, and social patterns of the majority of their consumers. The brand I was tracking throughout this year was Starbucks Keurig K-Cups. Starbucks is the number one coffee supplier in the United States, and the largest coffee house company in the world. Starbucks is typically known to be a luxury brand, the majority of its consumers are women who graduated college plus attending additional years of school. Starbucks tend to appeal mostly to the business world. MARKETING MIX

This encourages customers to come inside the store and stay by offering comfortable seating, good music and free Wi-Fi. Through lifestyle advertisement Starbucks draws the attention of business men and women. It is advertised as a nice place to take a break from work or to have a quick meeting over coffee. During the holiday seasons, many know the special red Christmas cup at a first glance. This red cup is an example of symbol advertisement, a soon as someone looks at it, they know where it is from. Advertising on TV can be very beneficial for companies hoping to get more publicity on their product, however it can be very expensive. While Starbucks does have a couple small commercials they do not air very often, Starbucks, being the biggest coffee supplier in the United States, do not need to air commercials, or very show many advertisements overall. Starbucks does a good job of being active on social media. They use Facebook as a way to promote special holiday promotions and as a way for customer to give their feedback. Starbucks shows great customer service by replying to every single comment a customer makes on Facebook, by doing this they practice providing a personal and custom relationship with each individual which leads to maintaining customer loyalty. Another popular form of social media for Starbucks is Twitter, like Facebook they use this chance to promote big upcoming seasonal events.
