I am proposing we implement a system of recognition so employees will now get the recognition that they deserve. Being their manager I see and hear what good they are doing. I have been a manger for over a year now and am liked and trusted by the staff and high level management. Recognized for: Employee of the month, who has gone above and beyond that month for the company Reward: Gift card to Starbucks and recognition in a company-wide email
This gives everyone as an individual to strive for. Starbucks is a great reward because people always love to treat themselves to coffee it would be nice it if was on us. Naming them in a company-wide email gives them the recognition people desire based on ‘Maslow 's hierarchy of needs’ and shows that we are thankful for what they have been doing.
Level Three: Recognized for: Beating a deadline Reward: Getting to leave work early on a Friday and still get paid.
This is a very easy one to implement. If someone beats a deadline they will already have extra time so letting them go early on a Friday is a way to get other employees to work hard towards that goal as well.
