Disney is one of the major companies in the world that has one of the most recognized brands. Disney’s corporation has a full entertainment portfolio that includes TV channels, movies studios, and theme parks. It generated 48.81 billion USD in revenues in 2014 (“Global Revenue,” 2015). Disney is always striving to expand and grow. One area it is currently focusing on is the theme parks.
Disney in 2012 acquired the rights to Stars Wars movies for four billions USD (Block, 2012).With this acquisition, Disney is trying to reach a broader target audience. To achieve such an objective, Disney is planning to build a new Star Wars theme park.
