The world as we know it, started to develop when the prehistoric humans discovered tools to supplement their needs and use it as an accessory to augment themselves to diversify the potential of their existence.**About 2.5 million years ago, the technology began to shape the mankind when humans used stone tools to hunt, start fires and bury their dead. Throughout the evolution from the stone age till today, humans have been immensely dependent upon technology to shape their world and provide them with amenities that can guide them to an effective and easy living. In the contemporary world, our interactions and relations are mostly governed through the world we have created virtually i.e the social media. The Star Trek movies not only showed handheld communication devices but also provided a glimpse of 3D printers and computer speech recognition. Adding to those devices, the first wearable technology such as Google Glass, Oculus Rift and smartwatches were portrayed in the movie Back to the Future Part II. [Write more about Google Glass and Oculus Rift] Apart from technology, the science fiction movies also portrayed space travel even before the Soviet Union’s Sputnik 1 launch. In the movie Woman in the Moon, there is a fairly accurate description of a multistage rocket launch. Even though, some elements were exaggerated to construct a narrative, still it offered a realistic depiction of space travel considering the movie came out in 1929. Today the purpose of robots by the military for attack purposes and reconnaissance is well established. The best known military robots may be unarmed aerial vehicles that are used by the U.S and various other militaries around the world. However, there are also military robots that use continuous track based design that looks similar to an experimental prototype
