Kids watch their favorite athletes respect the flag and sing along; however, some do not and then children wonder, “ why do they sit down?” Recently, many professional athletes have either been taking a knee, sitting down, or even raising fists because they believe that racism, discrimination, equality, and freedom are not being shown throughout the United States. Singing and representing their country, is how Americans show their pride to their roots and to not do so, is astonishing. Above all, even if players think they have reasons why not to stand, there are kids, families, and adults all over the world watching them show. Soldiers put in everyday of their lives to fight for our country, and the least the players could do is stand up and show allegiance to the U.S. In addition, presenting faithfulness is one of the most important things to teach and present.
