Every year on New Year’s, Eve millions of people across the world set resolutions or goals for themselves. 38% of people say that they are going to diet. When you diet, it is ‘forbidden’ to eat junk food. Each year, only 8% of people that diet as their New Year’s resolution actually stick to it. The reason? When something is forbidden, it becomes much more desirable. The same goes for the idea of star-crossed lovers. The movie tells the story of Maria and Tony. Tony used to be the leader of the Jets, and is still friends with Riff, the new leader.
