Romeo wanted to desperately be with Rosaline but it is seen here that his love for her was puppy love, meaning that he only wanted to love her, but with Juliet it is a much deeper love. He is mature enough to admit to himself that Rosaline wasn’t his ‘true’ love. Juliet is mature enough to admit that a name is not part of someone,’What’s in a name?’ (p.g. 69), even though many children of this time would not have said something as sophisticated as this. It is also seen, after Romeo and Juliet stand together on the balcony, their true wisdom. When Juliet asks for Romeo to tell her, if he loves her and Romeo replies,’blessed moon I swear’, Juliet is quick to tell him not to swear by the moon. She was capable enough to discover, that the moon changes and told Romeo that swearing by the moon meant that he was going to change as well. Thus, we see the manhood and womanhood of both these characters, which meant that they were old enough to make their own
