Stanley Streamer Youtube Summary

This journal is going to be about a video I saw on you YouTube. Basically, it is about woman who is singing the “Stanley streamer” Jingle in different genres. The first one is just her singing in original but then cuts to a jazz/Scat singer. For this she changes costumes and as well as changes the quality of her voice. It is smoother and more of a “rounded” sound. She also changes her spherically by leaning into it and snapping to the offbeat. Next she changes “1980s big-hair rock”. She failed her arms around and used a rough voice and was very loud. After that we have “1950s girl-group” where she brings in two other women and perform a choreographer dance number with harmonization. She also uses a playful/flirtatious attitude to convey the “all American girl next door feeling.” Next, Opera. This is a hard style to try …show more content…
This reminds me of older Taylor Swift (which I think is intentional). This was probably the most impressive of all of them. This variation was Latin/salsa and she translated the whole jingle into Spanish and performed a Hispanic dance with maracas. Electronica/goth/dark wave/WWGD (What would Gaga do?) is the next one. This one had more to do with cinematography and costumes but the acting is very well done and the character is very clear. The second to last variation is R&B. She is very sexual during the whole thing and very fluid with her motions and made direct eye contact with the camera to convey intimacy. Lastly, is the Avril/pop-punk variation. Up until this one she kept all the lyrics the same but this one she created a parody of one of Avril Lavigne’s songs and even mimicked her outfit.
The reason I am writing about this is because although she is playing different characters she is doing it so well you can tell the difference between her regular self from the characters. She played on stereotypes and popular music genres and put the act of theatre into a simple

In my opinion, my desire to be a state thespian officer could be summarized by my childhood girl scout troop’s mantra which was “Wherever you go make it a better place when you leave”. The arts programs over the course of my entire public education have served me well and continues to. This love for theatre has stemmed all the way from 1st grade Annie with my debut role of Kate the orphan to now an over 50 cast of Beauty and the Beast. I believe that the best way I can repay this debt back and make theatre a better place is through being a state thespian officer. Without theatre, I truly don’t know who I would be and I would like to do my best to not only improve arts programs across the state but, also bring the arts to those less fortunate improving theatre for all from when I first entered it all those years ago.…

Mark Stewart’s, Passing Strange, is a semi-autobiographical rock musical that apprises the story of young man’s journey to find “the real.” In this play, Stew (Mark Stewart), tells the story of his younger self traveling from his home in Los Angeles to places such as Amsterdam and Berlin to become a great artist and musician. In this production, Stew has the conviction that “the real” cannot be obtained unless he perceives and witness’s different places from around the world. I watched a filmed version of this play on the days of Tuesday, April 11, and Thursday April 13, and after watching, I can honestly that this is the most unique musical that I have ever seen. Stewart’s production of Passing Strange deserves a detailed and comprehensive…

Sojourner Truth was born into slavery, but she later became a leading activist for women’s rights and racial equality after being freed in 1827. She performed her famous “Ain’t I a Woman” speech at the 1851 Akron Ohio Women’s Convention. Today, multiple versions of this speech exist because the original was never officially recorded. Each of these interpretations manipulate the wording and presentation differently to alter the overall effect of the speech. Two of these interpretations by Cicely Tyson and Maya Angelou have similar purposes but are very different in how they are presented.…

On the other hand, there are those who are against its creation because of the environmental damage it could cause and the communities it could ruin. Because of how divided people are over its creation, President Barack Obama has had to address the issue several times as well as make big decisions about it. Text to Text The novel Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel reminds me a lot of the movie Mad Max: Fury Road. Both plots are centered around society after earth’s destruction. However, Mad Max is about what happens after the oil runs out, whereas Station Eleven follows the events after much of earth’s population is wiped out by a very contagious virus. Both books also share a similar character who play leadership roles, and these characters abuse their power.…

With an abundance of new characters in “When Calls the Heart” this season, sometimes only the most observant viewers might notice the handful of smaller roles that pop up now and then on the show. I was immeasurably excited when I finally figured out who the character Katie Yost was, and once I connected with the actress who portrays her, Larissa Albequerque, I knew at once that I wanted to find out more about this young actress. Thankfully, she was able to set aside some time recently to chat about WCTH as well as give insight into the occasionally overlooked Katie Yost. What inspired you to become an actress? From the time I was 7 or so, I was fascinated with acting.…

Dustin Mosko directed the production of Fuddy Meers, written by David Lindsay-Abaire and performed by the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, which I attended on October 6, 2015 at 7:30 pm. I enjoyed this play and thought the actors did a wonderful job; I loved the set and the costumes did a wonderful job completing the character. The story was somewhat confusing to keep me engaged, but I feel like that was the goal of the playwright. However, I wasn’t satisfied with the ending.…

She puts the songs that she listened to as the story folded out on a timeline as they are relevant to that specific part of the story. Her opinion of Tupac’s music changed from then as she now says it was “probably wasn’t made to be a treatise on racial identity” (Desmond – Harris). Her tone is very easy going, but she talks as if she is questioning herself and wondering why she did the things she did back then as she now knows who she is. She also used a picture to provide a visual of her and her friend at the time as they began to change themselves, through their hair, their clothes, and their music tastes. The photo showed how they imitated Tupac’s tattoos with a sharpie.…
