A standup comedian and a performance artist have a lot in common believe or not. They are both trying to grab the audience attention by giving or saying something to entertain them. Standup comedian and performance artist do their job with the same mindset but with a different way of presenting it to the audience. They seem very different from each other because the standup comedian entertains his audience by tells about a life experiences or jokes. While the performance artist does it through plays or visible act scenes. Performance artists are usually known for their arts skills and their art style is very serious most of the time but now we are starting to see a change. Many performance artists are starting to put in humor and improvisation. Now more people are open into going to see a performance artist in person. At first many people thought of it to be boring or didn’t understand what the performance artist was doing on the stage. Now the performance artist puts in little jokes into their painting or even rein acts a scene from a movie or something to get the crowd excited to watch. …show more content…
Many standup comedians try to get a feel for what their audience is like by telling a varies amount of different jokes to see what they think is funny or not funny. Standup comedians even have brung some performance artist skills into their field of work. Many have started dressing like or drawing pictures of the person, place, or thing they are making fun of. They do this so the audience get a visible of what the comedian is talking about. This really comes in handle when they are trying to tell a joke and the audience can’t quite picture the thing the comedian is talking
