World peace is what everyone hopes for, but we have one world and terrorism is threatening to destroy it. Throughout history, people have been taking many stand against terrorism. Taking a stand and in terrorism is very important because terrorism has impacted the country in so many ways. There are many different events that have occurred in history that involves terrorism. On September 11th, 2001, there was a terrorist attack in New York City. Even though everyone wants World Peace, terrorism and violence occurs on a daily basis. Everyone needs to stand up for the terrorism occurring in the world today. We need to know what terrorism is, how to react to it and what the effects of terrorism are.

Angeline Atyam was granted with a 1998 human rights prive from the United Nations for her act on behalf of the thousands of children that were kidnapped in Uganda. “Angelina’s daughter was kidnapped in 1996 along with dozens of other girls near her school.” Angelina united together with other families and they found the CPA, which is the “Concerned Parent’s Association.” Her daughter was kidnapped by a terrorist group called Boko Haram.
