To begin, teachers are being provided with guidance from standardized testing. With standardized testing teachers are provided with set framework of their teaching that will help their students pass the test at the end of the year. Without this provided framework, it becomes very easy for a teacher at one school to begin to teach ahead or behind that of a teacher from another school, therefore, hurting not only the child from that in particular school but also the teacher themselves (Columbia University 1). In continuation, standardized testing provides the students with guidance. Students know that they work hard all year, so by the time the testing rolls around at the end of the year the students are excited and almost fierce because they know that they have been provided with guidance throughout the year to help them get through this test (Boston Review 1).
