The reasons for Standardized Testing is to test student achievement and provide a good measurement on the education on the state or country. Most would say that there is no reason to take these tests because they don't even count as a grade and don't help at all but i'm here to say otherwise. This is a great thing about the tests because students always ask “when will i ever need to use this outside of school” and standardized tests provide the right material that students we need to focus on in order to advance in there life outside of school.and because standardized tests narrow down the curriculum and focus on the basics it can motivate the students to be proficient and excel in those categories and can eliminate time that is being used on activities that don't improve the students learning. A report issued by Education Policy Analysis Archives states that teachers in the minnesota school district are saying that Standardized testing is helping their students curriculum and overall achievement
Secondly, Standardized tests are accurate, reliable, and objective measures of student achievements. For those who actually take the standardized tests, are able to contribute to providing an accurate representation for their state.these calculations also help individuals involved in the education board for this said state to figure out what their students are doing well in and what their students are lacking in and learn what they need to focus on. The tests are also very accurate because every student is given the same question and have a equal test which brings us to our next
