Standardized testing is harming students and teaching with the amount of stress that comes along with taking them. Students are pressured to not only demonstrate their knowledge but to represent the effectiveness of their teachers and their schools. There is so much pressure put on these students to due well on these test that it ends up leading to bad test results. Multiple groups of students have gotten ill due to the amount of stress put on them. Stated in the Washington Post “Teachers are reporting children throwing up, losing control of their bowels, and increased commitments for psychiatric and anxiety issues” (Ramey). With students so stressed out that they are getting sick to their stomachs to these test their are going to be problems
