Standardized Testing Standardized Testing has been used for over fifty years to determine if students are capable of undertaking the difficulty of college-level courses. The SAT is meant to test a student’s reasoning and critical thinking skills that they have acquired during their secondary education. Standardized testing is currently used for college admissions nationwide.
