Standardized Testing Benefits

I believe being required to pass standardized tests to graduate is not a good idea. It is not a good idea, because some students are not good testers. They might learn slower than other students in a way, than some students might catch on quicker than others so it can be a good or bad idea. Some students let standardized tests get to them to the point they are wanting to give up, without giving it another try. Yes, those state tests are very difficult but students have to realize that in a long run those tests are going to be helpful. Many students are so used to not doing their own work and want the teachers to do it for them. Giving up shouldn’t be an option for any student. Always put your mind to passing the standardized tests and you will succeed through it all. Standardized tests held a lot of students back at my school even though they passed their classes; they still have to pass their standardized test in order to graduate from High School. Trying to pass the standardized tests is very stressful, because trying to focus on other things and building their credits up and also and dealing with your school sportsmanship and other activity will have you unfocused cause of the things you love to do. As some students say everything that’s on the standardized tests aren’t everything they have went over in their classes, that’s why you have to pay attention in class and stay to yourself so you can focus hard on the materials you all go over in the classes. Being able to have time to study after school or tutoring after school will help some people pass their standardized tests.
