Standardized test plays a very important role in children’s education. Students take a standardized test at least once or twice a year. A standardized test is “a test (as of intelligence, achievement or personality) whose reliability has been established by obtaining an average score of a significantly large number of individuals for use as a standard of comparison (Webster Dictionary).” Throughout the year teacher(s) prepare the students the best way they can in order for students to become better test takers on focusing on the task at hand, how to work under pressure and analyze your answers. In order to become successful students will have to accomplish these things because the Department of Education are holding the teachers responsible for the results that student get in return to see how much effort the teachers put forth in order for the students to past and to get a raise in pay.

“Standardized test help evaluate the performance of students, teachers and schools within the district as a whole to focus on how we can better our students for the future”. The different types of test that the students have to prepare for measure their learning ability based on what the student already comprehend and what the student has obtain while preparing for the test. With the results being recorded and sent back to the schools, it only helps the students, teachers and parents by giving them the information on how well their student perform on the test and if they may need more assistant in different areas that may need more assistant on. The good point of standardized testing it measures each students’ intelligence and academic performance test taking skills; so therefore the information that is give will have the facts on how to help your student on a daily base in order to score higher each time they take a
