Are standardized test able to tell the takers abilities?
Standardized test can cause an excessive amount of stress on the students taking them. Do standardized test truely contain the ability to measure abilities? If a schools standardized test scores are high, people think the school’s staff is effective (Popham). Although standardized tests have been around since the 1900s and haven’t changed much, can they truly provide accurate evidence of what our abilities are?
The majority of standardized tests especially in high school, are requirements for graduation. They don't pass the test, you don't get to graduate with your class. There are plenty of cases where student’s stress levels skyrocket because of these tests. Their future depends on
