Greetings; I am applying for the positon of Standardized Patient (Role Player) which has been advertised by the Medical College of Wisconsin on Indeed.com. As a retired Police Officer with over 32 years of front line patrol experience, much of my job often involved role play related skills. As an Officer I often had to relating to other (often difficult) individuals, convincing them to act in such a way as to resolve situations , all while allowing them to believe their choices are strictly made by their own volition. Although we in the profession sometimes joke about it, this requires the ability to play roles, play them convincingly, and to adapt modes while on the fly as situations change.
