Standardization of Regulations Regarding the Use of Cell Phones while Driving

Introduction

A large number of accidents on roads result from reckless driving practices. The most notable and destructive among such careless activities is the act of driving while taking conversations on the cell phones (Weller et al., 2013). That has caused deaths that could get avoided if more caution and consideration were made by the drivers involved. The primary focus of this research paper is on the ramifications of such carelessness and the possible regulatory mechanism to reduce the rising trend of deaths. In a world of vigorous activity and regular business and personal travels, there would be a need for increased integrity on the roads to safeguard the lives of the travelers (Asbridge, et al., 2013). That would enhance the trust of travelers on the roads and lead to the development of the various facets of the economic and social live of citizens. Injuries and deaths resulting from fatal accidents have a significant impact on the emotional and social lives of the people involved and those around them. Families experience mixed reactions as they struggle to come to terms with loss or injury of their loved ones. Some of the people who die or get injured during such unfortunate accidents are fathers, mother or siblings in a family set up (Fitch et al., 2013). The effect of their injury or death would last in the memory of their loved ones for so long, and that could impede the family life and growth.
