1. One of the key things that I learned from this article was how to question and take a stand against the school culture. In this article, a new teacher, named Mr. Berkman, was constantly interrupted by his school’s PA system, whenever he taught a lesson. Instead of mindlessly following the school culture, Mr. Berkman decided to record how many times the PA system interrupted his class and get his students involved. This also made his students question the school culture and do something about it. I really like how Mr. Berkman did this because he got his students thinking and interested in their education. I think more teachers should take a stand against the school culture, whenever it impedes student learning.
