Staffing Strategy for a New Plant
Household Consumer Enterprises, Inc corporate headquarters is based in downtown Chicago and specializes in the design and production of household products such as brooms, brushes, rakes, kitchen utensils, and garden tools. The organization changed its mission to provide households with visually appealing safe and sturdy utensils. The organization is targeting 25-40-year-old professional and managerial people who want conversational-piece appeal. A speculative strategy is to construct and staff a new plant that will have free restraint in the design and production of utensils for this 25-40 age group. To begin with the organization will have the plant concentrate on producing a set of closely design wise related plastic products: dishwashing pans, outdoor wastebaskets, outdoor plant holders, and watering cans. These pieces can be fabricated without excessive capital and facilities spending and can be marketed as a group. The intention is to have the products on the stores ' shelves and on Household Consumer Enterprise 's store web site in time for Christmas sales.
