Staff Training Experience Paper

The Highlanders had a productive two weeks of prospecting, processing, and training. I brought four CO Cmd teams in last week for quarterly Co Sustainment Training where we drilled into MAP, Battle Rhythm, Army doctrine on Commander’s Activities, RFA development, among many other topics. The development of the MAP for Chaplain and AMEDD remains a “stubby pencil” effort for the MRB until a digital MAP comes on line; we’ll continue to train in every training event. The Brigade executed our quarterly 5K Run today across the country, with stations and HQs posting pictures IAW our theme of “Show Off Your City”. CSM and I will also execute the quarterly Brigade Town Hall on Facebook Live this afternoon and answer questions on a number of topics, as well as a sneak peek at the March Madness competition. We are putting the finishing touches on the Joint Physician Recruiting Summit, which is happening simultaneously with our BDE SAMA and 2nd Quarter Awards Board during the week of 26 Feb. WRT FY19 ROP, the Brigade developed an aggressive development and publication time line with a goal of Battalion ROP briefings the week of the Brigade COC. CSM Schwab and I will be at the HQ for the next week and then head to Florida for the 2nd MRBn ATC. We are focusing our prospecting efforts to meet our operational gap, especially in MC Direct. Subsequently, our recruiters are looking into each of our MC HPSP applicants to find the candidates that have high GPA, and MCAT scores to board now. These caliber of applicants will get an LOA and we will be better placed to close-out the mission at the start of 4th quarter. In addition, we are pressing hard to get pending in 71E and 67F 2yr HPSP closed out, allowing us to close these two
