Another way the staff performance is evaluated is through a focus group. This information was an approach to gain qualitative data from the trainee’s position on the course. Every day at the end of the training a 15 minute focus group what held. The participants were asked two questions 1) what did you like about today’s training and 2) what recommendations do you have to improve today’s training. This gives the trainer and understanding of what the students may take away from the class and how to change the training style from day to day. The information is stored electronically and only the CABHP staff access to it.
Daily observation is another way the staff performance was evaluated. During the training an evaluator would conduct a one hour observation daily. This observation was done at random times during the training. The observation was to focus on how the training was being delivered and received by the participants and how the learning environment was

This information is then turned into a report summary for the Executive Director and the rest of the staff at the CABPH. This information is the filed electronically in there system. Currently the reports have not been utilized internally for more than a way to measure the grant objectives. This is something the program director is working on transcribing now.
Externally the report from the course is turned into a report after each course and given to the Office of Individual and Family Affairs (OIFA) which is part of the ACCHS. The report is in order to comply with the grant given to CABHP for the PFCA. Furthermore the report is transcribed into a monthly report intended to report on the contract deliverables. Currently the reports have not been utilized by the governance committee for more than a way to measure the grant
