Before choosing to apply through UCAS to your chosen University, a student will need 5 GCSE’s at Grade C, including English, Mathematics and Science or a Grade 4 in the newly reformed GCSE’s, plus 2 A levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications; such as BTEC Extended Diploma (Health and Social Care) and you must achieve a minimum of 20 credits awarded at Distinction and 160 credits at Merit or above. Another entry requirement is an Access to HE Diploma in a health or science related subject. Life experience and skills will also be assessed on a person’s circumstances and you must achieve 60 credits with 45 at level 3 and the remainder at level 2.
