Whilst on placement I observed that some staff attitude and behaviour were inappropriate and for any change to come these staff need to change their attitude. Many were complacent, may be they have been working with the patients for a long time and think they know them well enough to administer their medication without even opening their medication chat. Also I observed nurses been called for other things during medication rounds by their colleagues and sometimes they will leave the medication trolley open and go away. Staff attitude during medication administration has to change and there should be protected time during medication round in order to reduce incidence of medication errors during drug rounds on the
