The taxpayers and the host city itself pays for almost seventy percent of the stadium! That’s a lot of money!
The Dallas Cowboys new stadium is the most expensive stadium in Texas and one of the most expensive in the world. The stadium was around $1.3 billion dollars to build. making it one of the most expensive sports venues ever built .The City of Arlington provided over $933 million dollars in bonds (taxes) for the funds to build this stadium. The NFL only provided the Cowboys with an additional $150 million dollars, which is their policy for giving teams a certain lump sum of money for stadium financing. The NFL makes tons of money and the majority of the cost of the stadium went to the Texas people.

Another example of an awesome stadium is The Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Indiana built this stadium with hosting future Super Bowls and other Championship games in mind. This stadium also has a retractable roof that allows players and the fans to be inside or outside, depending on the weather. The Lucas Oil Stadium hosted the Super Bowl in 2012. It was an awesome experience for those who were able to go. This stadium cost $720 million dollars to build, and the NFL paid $100 million dollars, the rest was paid for by the Indianapolis people through

Money is often spent on new practice facilities and locker rooms so that colleges can increase recruiting efforts.
