St.Philip Neri

St.Philip Neri is an important person to learn about. He was a happy man who was born on July 21, 1515. He lived a full life in Florence, Italy. Unfortunately, he died on May 25 from a long illness. His feast day is on May 26. He was fully recognized as a saint in the Church’s eyes in 1622. The symbolizes that are associated with St.Philip Neri is a rosary, lilies, and an angel holding a book.

The lilies represents the pureness of his soul and heart. He also is known for his cheerfulness and enthusiasm! He became a priest at the age of 35 and helped young boys with their penance. We can learn from St.Philip Neri by laughing more and being more cheerful towards others.
