St. Petes Beach Analysis

St. Pete’s Beach Since the origins of humanity, people have thought of the beach as a way to relax and make memories. But in my mind, one beach stands tall above all of the others. St. Pete’s beach in St. Petersburg, Florida, is the most magnificent place that anyone could ever hope to go. Although it is not often thought of as a primary vacation spot, I believe this marvelous beach has helped to develop my identity into who I am today. The mesmerizing silvery sand; the dreamy sea its own master; the angelic pink palace on the beach; all small components that take part in the alluring beauty of the beach in St. Petersburg. However, simply calling this beach beautiful would be a disservice. Not only is the beach dazzling, but buildings line the beach, majestic in their own way. The city of St. Petersburg is very contemporary in that it is made up of strip malls, hotels, and chain restaurants, rather than mom and pop businesses. It is my opinion that the combination of nature and infrastructure is what makes this beach truly magnificent.

Whether during Spring Break, over the Summer, or just before school starts in the Fall, St. Pete’s Beach is a great vacation spot where memories will be made. My memories surrounding this beach are amazing. St. Pete’s Beach is where I first learned how to swim. This beach is where my grandparents celebrated their 50th anniversary. This beach has shaped me in so many ways that I can’t imagine how much different my life would be without it.
In conclusion St. Pete’s Beach is not just a spot for vacation, but it is a place where anyone can make memories that last a lifetime. The beach is beautiful, the city of St. Petersburg is beautiful, and the experience is irreplaceable. I believe everyone deserves a place that they consider as wonderful as I consider St.

In Roxane Gay’s article “Why the Beach Is a Bummer” she explains her outlook on the beach and why it’s a place of discomfort rather than fun. “This is an ideal beach of hot sun, warm sand, crystal-clear water that leaves your skin salted. But it is all too often a mirage”(Gay) the beach isn’t always a place for everyone, and the expectations of the beach often leave people let down or disappointed. As much as I do love the beach and enjoy laying in the sun I agree with Gay’s perspective of the beach to an extent.…

Many things can represent the city of Miami to people. To me however, from daytime to nighttime, South Beach best illustrates what makes Miami different from almost every other city: diversity. Everything, from the sounds, feelings and tastes, to the smells and sights, makes one feel as though you are standing at the crossroads to the rest of the world. As you approach South Beach, crossing over the ocean on I-395, you can already hear multiple styles of music playing in the distance.…
