Both Churches were quite similar despite the differences between the religions themselves.Both the Lutheran Church and Catholic Church follow the apostles creed and abide by this specific creed. Based on the theological understanding of the Canonical Gospels this creed is recited often in the services conducted by the two churches. This is also evident with the object only found in the Catholic Churches which is the tabernacle. The tabernacle is an often gold container which holds the sacred bread and wine between the time of communions. This will not be found in a Lutheran church as they keep the holy gifts in a regular cupboard. St Paul’s Lutheran Church is not as aesthetically pleasing although does possess similar symbols throughout the parish. The prominence of statues is non existent within St Paul’s church as the lutheran religion does not believe in praying to statues, rather pray to the holy spirit.
