You would never think that the celebrity St. Paul could perform miracles but this week he did! St. Paul, chief speaker, was in Lystra, a city in central Anatolia, when he saw a man who was lame and had never walked. St. Paul was preaching like normal and this man was listening to him. In the middle of preaching, St. Paul looked directly at him and saw that he had enough faith to be healed. So he called out and said “Stand up on your feet!” and the man stood up and walked.
After he performed this miracle, the people that were there thought that gods had come down to them in human form. These people called St. Paul Hermes and wanted to offer sacrifices to him.
