Patrick’s religious calling was one that changed his life forever. St. Patrick in a vision was shown a way out of slavery by Christ(Olson 4). After the vision Patrick the next day escaped from slavery. It took him 28 days to reach back to Britain. Just because he reached home didn’t mean he forgot who go him there in the first place. He studied to become a priest. About 8 years after becoming a priest he became a bishop(catholic.org authors 4.) He returned back the Ireland, and what he is most known for driving the snakes out of the Irish land and also teaching the Holy Trinity on a leafed clover(Biography.com editors 5.)The clover stands for God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit (Olson 5.)St Patrick did very good things in his life on earth but his legacy is one that will always life on. St.Patrick’s death was very heartbreaking for many people but his legacy will always live on. Personally I love to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with my family and friends because it reminds me of my culture and where I came from.
